TRAINING OBJECTIVES

The Department of Wind Instruments carries out its main functions in the field of educational coordination, in the organizations of artistic-cultural and research initiatives and includes the Schools of Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Bassoon, Saxophone, Horn, Euphonium, Trumpet, Trombone and Bass Tuba. The training offer includes courses that start from initial training courses, followed by preparatory courses to finally arrive at the A courses of I and II level academics. The Department organizes Master Classes and Concerts held by the best musicians, Conferences and Seminars with teachers from the academic and university world.

The Department’s main organization is to scrupulously follow the technical and interpretative training of the students and also offers them the   opportunity to play in various instrumental ensembles, such as the Duo, Trio, Quartet, Quintet and Ensemble and larger groups such as the Saxophone Orchestra and the Great Wind Orchestra, which are regularly presented in public concerts also in important institutional occasions. The overall training course is also aimed at inserting students into the great Symphony Orchestra of the Conservatory.

During these experiences, students often have the opportunity to play alongside the teachers, with a view to a dynamic didactic-training project aimed at increasing the professional experience of the students.
