The course aims to offer to the students an all-round training, from elements of anatomy and physiology of the vocal instrument to aspects of musical theory of the applied musical language, taking into account the peculiarity of each style of singing characterising the vast genre of Pop music.
The course of study also provides the opportunity to master specific skills concerning psychoacoustics, diction, phonetics and elements of general linguistics of the language in which one sings, plus all those supra-segmental layers of the language, functional to a convincing interpretation of the style addressed, in view of the effective communication between the singer and the listener.
Ample space will also be given to the relationship between posture and voice, to occlusal/myofunctional problems and sound production, and to any other factors that influence vocal emission.
The student will acquire skills with respect to management and body awareness in a progressive acquisition of proprioceptive awareness aimed at increasing the feedback circuit, essential for an increasingly good control of the instrument.
Furthermore, at the end of the course of study, the student will have to acquire all the specific aspects of the musical language of the pop styles addressed, in order to achieve general stylistic and aesthetic adequacy.
