TRAINING OBJECTIVES
During the course students will develope their tecniques knowledge, training in counterpoint and fugue, working on control of traditional forms from the little ones (Notturno, Intermezzo, etc) until the greater ones to the Sonata Form, practicing in style using solo instruments, chamber ensembles also with singer(s); besides they will develope their Analytical skills working on scores from the baroque music to the contemporary, and begin to study Instrumentation. Reaching these objectives obtaining the bachelor, in the Master course the students will practice Orchestral and Liric opera composition, approaching many different languages, compositional tecniques and harmonic systems.
At the same time, great part of the study will be devoted to original composition, guiding the student through the rich and complex world of the contemporary languages, allowing him to start his research for his own way to compose music in our times; these objectives will be attained also through performances of the student’s compositions, organized by the conservatory and other affiliated institutions also thanks to the “Ensemble Musica Contemporanea” active from ten years and constituted in the Composition department.
