The Master’s Degree course in Art History offers an advanced training in the history of Western and Mediterranean Art covering a chronological range from Late Antiquity to present times. It is mainly aimed at graduate students who have already earned a Bachelor in the fields of Human Sciences, Arts and Media Studies, Architecture and other related disciplines. Thematically this course alternates more theoretical classes that strengthen student’s knowledge or methodological skills in the study of less known sectors of Art history with practically oriented classes whose aim is to provide students with modern working instruments in the same field.

The course enhances student’s abilities in the use of IT tools for personal production, publishing and cataloguing of Cultural Heritage, as well as knowledge in the fields of bibliographic research, study and criticism of primary or secondary sources. The course will therefore include a wide range of specialized art-historical classes listed in detail in the annual Manifesto.
Actually these are:
– Archeology and early Christian Art history;
– Foreign language (French, English, Spanish or German);
– Introduction to theory and history of Restoration;
– Iconography and iconology;
