The call for proposals on projects between universities, higher education institutions in the arts and music, and higher technical institutes of the Sicilian region and higher education institutions of the Southern Mediterranean countries (Algeria, Jordan, Morocco and Tunisia) was published today on Indire’s website.

The initiative is part of the agreement signed between Indire and the Sicilian region, which identifies Indire as intermediate organisation of the Regional Operational Programme (ROP) ESF 2014-2020 to incentive and support the collaboration between Sicilian, European and non-European institutions for higher education, by promoting good practice exchange, definition of common aims, and the mobility of teachers, students and administrative staff.

The application for funds is open to Sicilian state-funded and non-state-funded universities, higher education institutions in the arts and music, and higher technical institutes.

The project presented must pursue training or cultural aims and be aimed at enhancing participants’ knowledge and skills in order to contribute to strengthening the relationship with Southern Mediterranean countries. They must also aim at enriching human capital and increasing employability, enhancing teaching quality and professional skills, also by fostering the use of new technologies, and enhancing linguistic and intercultural competences.

Activities are addressed to students, teachers and administrative staff of Sicilian Higher Education Institutions and of the project partners’ countries.

The deadline to submit the application is 22nd February, 2021.
